Misdeeds in BNP’s name won’t be tolerated

Lakshmipur, Oct 11, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie today said that any kind of misdeeds in the name of BNP will not be tolerated.

"No one will be allowed to commit any misdeeds using the name of BNP. Anyone who intends to commit such misdeeds should leave the party immediately,” he said.

The BNP leader made the remarks while attending a yard meeting at the Jamirtoli Adarsha High School ground in Dighali Union of Laksmipur Sadar Upazila.

Annie said, “BNP is the name of a long struggle. Anyone who wants to use the party for personal gain will not be allowed to do so. They will not be given that scope. Strict organizational measures will be taken against those, who will remain involved in committing misdeeds by using the name of BNP."

The senior BNP leader also issued a warning to drug traffickers, saying, "To build a beautiful society, drugs must be eliminated immediately. Those of you, who are dealing drugs in the villages and towns, quit these activities quickly and return to a normal life."

He also commented that a political party is seeking votes by misinterpreting Islam. "There is a political party that is asking for people's votes by giving a wrong interpretation of Islam,” he added.

Jahangir Alam, among others, were present in the meeting.
