Court cancels bail plea of Asaduzzaman Noor in graft case

DHAKA, Oct 12, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today cancelled a plea of former minister Asaduzzaman Noor in a case lodged by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for amassing illegal wealth.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Sabbir Faiz passed the order as Noor’s counsel moved the plea before the court.

According to the case documents, the former minister amassed illegal wealth of Taka Taka 5.37 crore and kept that under his possession. The ACC also found evidences of suspicious transactions of Taka 158.78 crore in 19 bank accounts of Noor.

ACC deputy director Md Azizul Haque filed the case against Asaduzzaman Noor on July 30, 2025.
