July Uprising: 1 held for mass killing in Ashulia

SAVAR, Oct 12, 2025(BSS)- Ashulia police today arrested one Saidul Mollah, 
38, from Tongabari area under Savar upazila, on the outskirts of Dhaka, for 
his alleged involvement in mass killing during the last year's July Mass 
Uprising, also known as the July Revolution.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Mahbub Ullah Sarkar, in-charge of Ashulia Bazar Police 
Outpost, said that Saidul Mollah was involved in Awami League politics for a 
long time. 

"Saidul has been accused in three murder cases relating to last year's mass 
uprising," the SI said, adding that he is the son of Siraj Master of 
Tongabari area under Savar upazila.

He has been sent to the court for taking further lawful measures, Mahbub 
Ullah further said.
