DHAKA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today showed former Dhaka-7 lawmaker Haji Mohammad Salim arrested in a case filed for allegedly grabbing a business establishment named Deen and Sons in the capital’s Chawkbazar area, demolishing the structure and constructing Mohammadia Tower on that land.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman passed the order as police produced Salim before the court and pleaded to show him arrested in the case.

Victim Monirul Islam filed the case on August 28, 2025, over the 2020 incident.

A total of 14 people, including Haji Salim, were made accused in the case. The court, after taking the charge into cognisance, had earlier issued arrest warrants against the accused.
