BSS journalist Jubayer's mother passes away

DHAKA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) - Sajia Kamal, mother of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha's Sub Editor Md. Jubayer Ibn Kamal, passed away early Today. She was 55.

Sajia, who had been suffering from multiple health complications following a stroke that left her paralyzed, breathed her last around 2am at her residence in Shonir Akhra, said family sources.

She is survived by husband, a son, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers.

Her Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Muradpur Jame Masjid in the Kudar Bazar area of Shonir Akhra around 10am. Later, she was laid to eternal rest at the Jurain Graveyard in the capital.

BSS Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief Mahbub Morshed expressed deep shock and sorrow at her demise and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
