DHAKA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS)- The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting today 
appointed Md Abdul Jalil, an officer of the BCS Information Cadre, as 
Director General (DG) of the Department of Mass Communication.

According to a notification of the ministry signed by its Deputy Secretary Md 
Masud Khan, Abdul Jalil, an officer of the 18th batch of Bangladesh Civil 
Service (BCS) examination, served as the DG of Bangladesh Film Archive, a 
film related important department under the Ministry of Information and 
Broadcasting, prior to this posting.
