BGB man injured in Bandarban mine explosion airlifted to Dhaka CMH for advanced treatment

DHAKA, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) - Nayek of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Md. Akhter Hossain who suffered critical injuries in a land mine explosion in Bandarban district on Sunday last was airlifted today to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka from its another facility at Ramu in Cox's Bazar for better treatment.
 
He was taken to CMH, Dhaka by a BGB helicopter this afternoon, said a BGB press release.
 
The BGB member was injured in a mine explosion while patrolling along Tumbru border in Naikshongchhari Upazila of Bandarban yesterday (on October 12 last).
 
He was later rushed to the CMH in Ramu Cantonment, Cox's Bazar for treatment.
