DHAKA, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) – The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 today set October 23 for hearing on charge framing against former Information Minister and Jasad President Hasanul Haque Inu in a case filed over allegedly committing crimes against humanity in Kushtia during the July Mass Uprising in 2024.

The three-member tribunal, led by Justice Nozrul Islam Chowdhury, passed the order this morning.

Additionally, the tribunal has permitted Inu's lawyer to meet with him for two hours each day for three consecutive days. Advocate Naznin Nahar moved the plea on behalf of the former minister.

The second tribunal on September 25, 2025, took the formal charge filed against Inu into cognisance.

The prosecution brought charges of crimes against humanity, including the killing of six people in Kushtia during the July-August student-led Mass Uprising, against Inu.

Meanwhile, the ICT-2 also ordered to publish notices on two national dailies, asking four people, including Awami League leader Mahbub Ul Alam Hanif, to appear before it by October 23 in another crimes against humanity case.
