DHAKA, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) – Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Mohammad Abdul Momen today urged political parties not to nominate any corrupt person in the upcoming elections.

“It is not possible to move the country forward if corruption exists at the top level. We want honest people as candidates in the national elections,” he said.

The ACC chairman made the remarks while inaugurating a workshop for members of Reporters Against Corruption (RAC) at the ACC conference room here.

He said the commission is fearlessly investigating allegations of corruption against influential individuals and taking necessary legal actions.

The ACC chairman also said that various legal steps have been taken through Interpol, including issuing red notices, to bring back fugitive corrupt individuals, including Sheikh Hasina and her family members, from abroad.

He added that although recovering laundered money is challenging, the ACC and other government agencies are making relentless efforts in this regard.

ACC Secretary Mohammad Khaled Rahim, Director Generals Abdullah Al Zahid and Abu Hena Mustafa Zaman, among others, were present at the workshop.
