BNP will form people's govt thru landslide victory: Altaf Hossain Chowdhury

PATUAKHALI, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Vice Chairman and former Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury today said that BNP will form a people's government through a landslide victory in the upcoming national elections. 

"Our party's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will return home and lead the party's election campaign ahead of the national election," Chowdhury said.

The BNP leader made the remarks while addressing a view-exchange meeting with BNP leaders and activists at the field of Jaigunnecha Secondary School under Muradia Union of Dumki in Patuakhali, ahead of the forthcoming national elections. 

"We will build a beautiful and prosperous country together," Altaf said, adding that the BNP is now fully prepared to participate in the national elections scheduled for February. 

"The BNP is working shoulder to shoulder with the interim government to ensure that elections are held within the declared timeframe," he added.

Former acting general secretary of Patuakhali district BNP Md Maksud Ahmed Bayezid (Panna) and Joint General Secretary of the Central Committee of Jatiyatabadi Swechchasebak Dal Md Mojibur Rahman attended the meeting as special guests.

The meeting was presided over by former acting general secretary and ex-joint convener of Dumki Upazila BNP Md Jasim Uddin Hawlader, while former joint convener Md Matiur Rahman Dipu conducted the session.
