BNP visits Mirpur fire site, demands prompt measures to stop recurrence

DHAKA, Oct 15, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) led by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed visited the site of the devastating fire at a RMG factory and chemical warehouse at Sialbari in Mirpur.

The BNP delegation visited the place on Tuesday night, hours after the fire erupted, which has so far claimed 16 lives.

After inspecting the fire site, Rizvi demanded immediate action against those responsible for negligence that led to such a tragic incident.
 
The Senior BNP leader also demanded prompt measures to stop recurrence of such fire incidents. 
  
Dhaka North City BNP convener and former national footballer Aminul Haque and leaders of BNP and its affiliated organizations were present at the time.
