RAJSHAHI, Oct 15, 2025 (BSS)- Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) held a
special briefing parade centering the election of Rajshahi University Central
Students Union (RUCSU), 17 Hall Councils and five students representatives to
the Senate-2025 scheduled to be held tomorrow.

RMP held the special event at RU Jubery International Guest House playground
today where the police members engaged in the election duty were given
important directions related to discharging duties in the election properly
and cautiously.

RMP Commissioner Muhammad Abu Sufian presided over the event saying the
police members have experiences of national and other local body elections.
But the student council election is somewhat different.

This election is totally conducted by the university administration. So,
administration and BNCC will play a pioneer role and police will assist them.

Apart from this, RAB and BGB will perform their duties at the field-level.

The RMP Commissioner said that the election is closed to teachers and
students. So, the police should perform their duties with utmost patience and
honesty and they must show their professionalism.

He told the parade that BNCC will remain in search duties in all the seven
entry points of the university and police will support them.

Commissioner Sufian urged the police members to render their duties with
utmost sincerity during the time of reaching the election materials to the
counting point after polling along with counting and subsequent activities.
Around 2,300 police members will remain in RUCSU election duties.

Additional Commissioner Nazmul Hassan and Deputy Commissioner Khorshed Alam
were present, among others, on the occasion.
