BNP’s goal is to establish woman, child-friendly society: Selima Rahman

JASHORE, Oct 15, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee Member Selima Rahman today said the goal of the party is to establish a woman and child-friendly society and ensure the rights of both men and women.

“BNP is a woman and child-friendly party...Our goal is to establish a woman and child-friendly society and ensure the rights of both men and women,” she said.

The veteran BNP leader made the remarks while presiding over a discussion titled "Establishing Woman and Child Rights in Society is BNP's Priority" here.

BNP Woman and Child Rights Forum orgaised the discussion at Hotel Orion International in the district.

Selima Rahman said that establishing the rights of women and children in society is a priority-based electoral commitment of BNP.

BNP Vice-Chairman Prof Nargis Begum was present the discussion as the chief guest. 

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Nargis Begum paid glowing tribute to Shaheed President ZIaur Rahman and said the people of the country still remember Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia for their immense contributions for the development of women and children in the country.

She called upon the activists of BNP and its front organizations to disseminate  among the people the various plans developed by BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman for the development of women and children.

Member Secretary of the Woman and Child Rights Forum Advocate Nipun Roy Chowdhury, Organising Secretary of the party's Khulna Division Anindya Islam Amit, President of Jashore District BNP Syed Saberul Haque Sabu, General Secretary Delowar Hossain Khokon, Organizing Secretary Robiul Islam, and General Secretary of Jashore District Mohila Dal Ferdousi Rahman, among others, present in the event.
