DHAKA, Oct 17, 2025 (BSS) - On behalf of BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, life-saving medical equipment was provided today to the ailing mother of Dr Sojib, who was martyred in Dhaka during the July–August Mass Uprising.
The equipment was handed over to Dr Sojib’s father, Halim Sarkar, as a gift. BNP’s Health Affairs Secretary Dr Md Rafiqul Islam also presented various healthcare supplies to the family.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr Rafiqul assured the family of full support, saying that Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has taken personal responsibility for them and is keeping a close watch over their well-being.
“Since my son embraced martyrdom, the BNP acting chairman has been looking after us constantly. He has helped us in various ways before, and today’s support will play a crucial role in my family’s survival. I thank and remain grateful to Tarique Rahman,” Halim Sarkar said.
Also present at the event were Dr Ahmed Sami Al Hasan Emon, Dr. Saiful Islam Badsha, Dr. Momin Ansari, Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Musrik, and others.
Dr Sojib’s mother has been bedridden for over a year and requires 24-hour oxygen support.
