4 AL men arrested for planning sabotage in capital city

DHAKA, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested four leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations from different parts of the capital city in the last 24 hours.

They were arrested for planning sabotage activities in the capital city, said a police press release.

The arrested are: Chairman of Sadar Union of Ullapara Upazila of Sirajganj District and President of Union Awami League Md. Abdus Salek (46), President of Ward No. 9 Jubo League of Dhaka South City, Md. Jamal Uddin alias Hasan Uddin Jamal (42), Vice-President of Swechasebak League Sher-e-Banglanagar Police Station in Dhaka City and former joint convener and former organizing secretary of Greater Tejgaon Police Station Chhatra League Md. Afzal Khan Sumon (42) and former President of Wari Police Station No. 41 Ward Chhatra League in Dhaka South City, Abdus Salam Bepari Nayan (43).
