Fakhrul mourns death of BNP leader Mojibur Rahman

DHAKA, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Mojibur Rahman Howlader, former Joint Convener of the party's Nesarabad Upazila unit under Pirojpur district.

In a condolence message today, he said, "Mojibur Rahman Howlader, a staunch believer in the principles and ideals of former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam and the Bangladeshi nationalist philosophy, played a strong role in strengthening and energizing Nesarabad Upazila Unit of BNP." 

He added, "Moreover, under the leadership of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, his courage in every movement and struggle to secure the democratic rights of the people will continue to inspire local BNP leaders and workers."

The BNP Secretary General prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, relatives, well-wishers, and supporters.

Mojibur Rahman Howlader passed away yesterday following a cardiac arrest. He was 67.
