DHAKA, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS)- The National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari today said they placed four key issues to the Election Commission (EC) including ensuring administrative transparency and a fair electoral environment and removal of the deceased from the voter list.

He said this to journalists after a meeting with Senior Secretary of the Election Commission (EC) Secretariat Akhtar Ahmed at the Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon.

Other two issues placed by NCP are maintaining neutrality of the EC officials and formulating a clear policy on symbol allocation.

NCP’s Chief Organizer for the Southern Region Hasnat Abdullah, Joint Convener Khaled Saifullah, and Joint Member Secretary Zahirul Islam Musa were present in the meeting.

NCP’s Chief Organizer Hasnat Abdullah said, “We want to continue constructive dialogue with the EC. Our expectation is that all parties will be treated equally during distribution of the symbol allocation.”

Joint Convener Khaled Saifullah stated, “Our party has taken a clear stance on the issue of the symbol.”

Joint Member Secretary Zahirul Islam Musa said, “We are in talks with EC within the legal framework. We hope the Commission will honor the spirit of democracy and take a positive decision.”
