CHATTOHRAM, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS) - Mohammad Nasir Uddin Riaz (45), the General Secretary of Chattogram North District Secha Sebok League, has been arrested by police. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) ATM Shifatul Mazder of Rangunia Police Station confirmed the matter on Sunday. 

Nasir Uddin Riaz was arrested from Maulvi Pukur in the Chandgaon Police Station area of the city on Saturday night. He is the son of the late Manjur Hossain from the Shantiniketan area of Ward No. 6 in Rangunia Municipality.

Nasir Uddin, who was previously the president of Rangunia Upazila Shaccashebok League for an extended period, has been involved in several criminal cases, including murder, manslaughter, explosives, and attempted murder, according to Rangunia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) ATM Shifatul Mazder. 

After being on the run for a significant period, he was arrested in a raid based on secret information. 

The arrested suspect has been sent to jail by court.
