Jamaat Ameer leaves Dhaka to perform Umrah

DHAKA, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman left Dhaka today for Makkah to perform the holy Umrah.

He was seen off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here by Jamaat Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretaries General Maulana Abdul Halim and Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, and Central Executive Committee Member and Ameer of Dhaka North City Unit Md. Selim Uddin.

Following the Umrah, the Jamaat chief is scheduled to visit the United States and the United Kingdom.

He is expected to return to Dhaka in the first week of November.
