Tarique Rahman stands by blind singer Jahangir Alam

DHAKA, Oct 20, 2025 (BSS) - On behalf of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, a delegation of “Amra BNP Paribar” went to Cumilla today to stand by blind singer Jahangir Alam.

The video of a song by a blind person named Jahangir Alam, which was circulated on social media, came to the attention of BNP Acting Chairman and Chief patron of Amra BNP Paribar Tarique Rahman, who is currently in London. 

Later, he instructed Amra BNP Paribar Convener Atiqur Rahman Rumon to contact Jahangir Alam. Following this, a delegation of Amra BNP Paribar today went to Cumilla to meet Jahangir Alam on behalf of Tarique Rahman.

In the afternoon, a meeting will be held there where BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and Chief Adviser of Amra BNP Paribar Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi will be attended as the chief guest.

BNP’s Cumilla Divisional Organizing Secretary, Chattogram Divisional Assistant Organizing Secretary and local leaders will also be present there.

In addition, the organization’s advisers, member secretary and members will be present under the leadership of Amra BNP Paribar convener Atiqur Rahman Rumon.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Amra BNP Paribar visited the grave of martyr Imam Hasan Tayim Bhuiyan in the 2024 mass uprising in Etbar village of Chandina in Cumilla this morning.

Besides, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, leaders and activists of Cumilla North, Cumilla South District BNP, Chandina Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations, along with local people, were present.
