KHULNA, Oct 20, 2025 (BSS) - BNP's central Information Affairs Secretary Azizul Bari Helal has said anti-democratic forces are hatching a conspiracy to cancel the upcoming general election by creating anarchy.

He made the remarks at a women's gathering in the Nandonpur area of Rupsha upazila on Sunday night.

The Rupsha Upazila unit of Jatiotabadi Mohila Dal organized the event, with Unit President Morzina Begum in the chair.

Helal said, "The role of women is crucial in the upcoming election."

Terming women the light-bearers of society, he added, "Women would work to take BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's 31-point proposals to people's doorsteps."

He said BNP is determined to ensure women's participation in the country's social and economic development. He added that if the party comes to power through the people's vote, women would receive ownership of the 'Family Card.'

Earlier, Azizul Bari Helal attended another meeting at Aichgati union of the upazila.

Speaking on the recent incidents of sabotage and arson, he said, "Just as chaos was created during the signing of the July National Charter, a similar attempt is now underway to destabilize the country through systematic arson. Those responsible for these incidents must be identified through investigation."
