DHAKA, Oct 20, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed a travel ban on journalist and UniMed UniHealth Pharmaceuticals Ltd director Subhash Singha Roy and his wife and former lawmaker Mamata Hena Lovely over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The ACC in its plea said it has already appointed an investigation officer to probe the allegations of amassing illegal wealth and money laundering against the couple. The anti-graft body has learned that the accused are trying to flee the country and that is why a travel ban should be imposed on them.
