DHAKA, Oct 20, 2025 (BSS) – A workshop titled ‘Creative and Effective Book Selling Strategies’ (Srijanshil O Karjokar Boi Bikroy Kaushal)  was held today to address the challenges faced by the creative book market in the country.

According to a press release, the creative book market in Bangladesh remains small and fragile, largely impacted by over one and a half decades of fascist-rule that has adversely affected the publishing sector.

Publishers are currently grappling with financial difficulties amid a sluggish book market, it added.

In this backdrop, the Anti-Discrimination Creative Book Publishers’ Association (Boishomyobirodhi Srijanshil Grantha Prakashak Samity) organized the workshop at 3:00 pm at a local restaurant in Old Dhaka.

Maruf Kamal Khan, editor of the ‘Protidiner Bangladesh’, inaugurated the event. The workshop was conducted by trainer and motivational speaker Rajib Ahmed. The session was presided over by the association’s president Saeed Bari. Among others, the association’s general secretary Delwar Hasan, vice-president Md. Helaluddin, and publisher Wahid Tushar addressed the event.
