DHAKA, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS)- Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Sharaf Uddin Ahmed 
Chowdhury has called for restoring a proper academic environment in schools 
and colleges to ensure quality education.

"Students are the nation's future and so they must be properly prepared," he 
said, urging administrative officials, including UNOs and education officers, 
to closely monitor educational institutions.

Speaking at a conference of Shariatpur DC office, he outlined the need for 
increasing classroom activities and teacher engagement.

"Education quality must improve along with institutional expansion and the 
quality not only depends on the students' activities but also on the 
activities of teachers and the observers," he added.

Later, the Commissioner joined a Hilsa protection campaign on the Padma River 
in Naria upazila, observed administrative activities, and inspected 
government offices and development projects.

Shariatpur Deputy Commissioner Tahsina Begum, the Superintendent of Police, 
and other district officials accompanied him during the visit.
