IRI delegation meets Jamaat representatives

DHAKA, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation from International Republican Institute (IRI), an US based democracy advising organization, today met the leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at the latter's office here.

IRI delegation include Christopher J. Fussner, member of the Board of Directors of IRI, led the delegation while other members were Lisa Curtis, senior fellow and director of the Indo-Pacific Security Program, CNAS, Jessica Keegan, Technical expert on democratic elections and political processes, IRI, Steve Cima Resident Program Director, IRI, Jami Spykerman Program Director, NDI, John Fluharty, Political party and campaign consultant, IRI, Darin Bielecki, Consultant, IRI and Amitabha Ghosh, Program Consultant.

Jamaat central executive body member Mobarak Hossen, Lawyers Council president Advocate Jashim Uddin and Dr. Jubair Ahmed were present among the Jamaat delegation.

The meeting discussed matters regarding state reforms and upcoming national election.
