RAJSHAHI, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson's advisor and valiant freedom fighter Abdus Salam today said the party wants to participate in a neutral election with full trust in the people.

Speaking to journalists before joining a public rally organized by Arani Municipality BNP in Bagha upazila of Rajshahi, he said, "People never make mistakes. Whenever allowed to vote freely, they have chosen BNP. We believe this time will be no different."

He noted that the primary role of any government is to transfer power to an elected administration.

"The Election Commission is preparing to hold polls in the first week of February. If elected, we will begin the task of state reform in line with our 31-point charter, with participation from all parties," he added.

Salam said the 31-point agenda is not merely a BNP document but a work plan for rebuilding Bangladesh.

"Rebuilding the state is not possible without public participation," he said.

District BNP convener Abu Sayed Chand, former convener Advocate Ershad Ali Esha, executive committee member Debashish Roy Modhu, district member Golam Mostafa Mamun and Arani Municipality BNP President Tozammel Haque took part in the rally, among others.
