DHAKA, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) - The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today conducted drives in Mymensingh's Gouripur upazila and Rajshahi's Naohata municipality over allegations of embezzlement and irregularities in government projects.

The drive in Gouripur was carried out due to the complaints of misappropriation of nearly Tk 4 crore allocated for a solar panel project, said an ACC press release.

During the visit, the ACC team collected related documents and recorded statements from responsible officials.

Initial field inspection and inquiry indicated evidence of irregularities and misappropriation in the implementation of the solar panel project.

In a separate drive, the ACC investigated alleged corruption in the construction of a 225-meter RCC drain and footpath on Bholabari Road in Ward-8 of Naohata Municipality, Rajshahi.

Statements of the concerned were recorded while relevant documents were also collected in this regard.

Samples from the site were also preserved for further analysis.

The ACC teams will submit detailed reports to the Commission upon full review of the gathered documents and evidence.
