DHAKA, Nov 20, 2025 (BSS) – The Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) has described the ruling to reinstate the ‘Caretaker Government’ system as a milestone against constitutional anarchy.

This order involved the cancellation of a 14-year-old ruling that had been related to the abolition of the Thirteenth Amendment.

Principal Hafez Maulana Yunus Ahmad, the party’s Secretary General, today issued a statement declaring that the ruling restores the excellent method of peaceful power transfer that had been established in Bangladesh to its legal status.

Yunus Ahmad strongly criticized the previous administration, alleging that the previous Awami fascism had established constitutional and legal anarchy in the country.

He claimed this was done by exerting pressure likened to putting a gun over the court, or exerting gun-like pressure on the court.

He asserted that such a dirty and destructive use of law and courts is rare within modern state systems.
The Secretary General added that fascism utilized its multi-faceted destructive power to cause institutional damage to Bangladesh.

He viewed the recent ruling as serving as a partial remedy for that damage.

Looking ahead, the IAB leader also referenced the July National Charter and stated that if the proposal concerning the Caretaker Government system outlined in that charter is successful through a ‘Yes’ vote, no one in the future of Bangladesh will be able to trifle with the Caretaker Government.

He anticipated that this system will construct a peaceful arrangement for the transfer of power.
