
DHAKA, Nov 15, 2025 (BSS) - Leading online book retailer Rokomari.com has conferred the Rokomari Bestseller Award-2025, honouring the highest-selling books and authors across four major categories.
The categories are Fiction, Non-fiction, Religion, and Career-Academic based on sales from April 2024 to March 2025.
A total of 56 awards were presented at the sixth Rokomari Best Seller Award-2025.
The award giving ceremony was held this evening at the Krishibid Institute Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium in the capital.
Rokomari's co-founders and directors Zubair Bin Amin and Ehteshamus Rakib, CEO Khairul Anam and Chairman Mahmudul Hasan Sohag were present at the event. More than 1,300 writers, readers, publishers and book industry professionals gathered, creating a festive atmosphere at the ceremony.
In the top-category awards, Ilma Behrouz (Fiction), Muhammad Elias Kanchan (Non-fiction), Dr Mizanur Rahman Azhari (Religion) and QnA Publications Writers' Council (Career-Academic) secured first place.
The bestselling titles in these categories were Ami Padmaja, Brain Balance Equal Bank Balance, Ek Nojore Quran and Zobair's GK respectively.
A major announcement of the event came from Onnorokom Group as its Chairman Mahmudul Hasan Sohag declared a new initiative titled "Project Hashimukh", under which children of printing workers, binders, paper-pickers and other book-industry labourers will receive annual scholarships worth Tk 10 lakh.
"Writers create value, but an effective mechanism is essential to deliver that value to readers. Publishers, writers and Rokomari will work together to strengthen that structure," Mahmudul Hasan Sohag said.
In the fiction category, recipients included Ilma Behrouz, Salma Chowdhury, Sadat Hossain and Rahitul Islam.
In the non-fiction category, the list featured Muhammad Elias Kanchan (Coach Kanchan), Mark Anupom Mallik, Asif Iqbal and Mohiuddin Ahmed.
In the Religion category, awardees included Dr Mizanur Rahman Azhari, Arif Azad and Shaykh Ahmadullah.
The Career-Academic category honoured QnA Publications Writers' Council Zobayer Ahmed and others.
Bestselling books in each category, six per segment, were also announced, covering a wide range of popular titles in Fiction, Non-fiction, Religion and Career-Academic.
Before handing over the awards, several quiz and creative competitions were held at the event to make the event more engaging.
