Rizvi hopes Allah will accept children's prayers for Khaleda Zia's recovery

DHAKA, Dec 4, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today hoped that Almighty Allah will accept the prayers of children for speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

He told a doa mahfil organised by the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Rickshaw, Van and Auto Chalak Dal at Jamia Arabia Ahsanul Ulum Madrasah and Orphanage in capital's Adabor area where children recited from the holy Quran. 

Rizvi said the children were praying for a person who has always devoted herself to the welfare of the people since entering politics.

"She was offered major incentives to leave the country, but she rejected those and chose to the path of struggle protecting the country's independence and people's rights," he added.

Rizvi said Begum Zia has always stood for truth and people's rights and faced prolonged imprisonment and inadequate treatment due to political reasons. 

He urged the countrymen and well-wishers abroad to pray for her recovery.

BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Executive Committee Member Mahbubul Islam Swapan, Jubo Dal Organising Secretary Kamruzzaman Jewel, Assistant Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Jahangir Kabir, Swechchhasebak Dal Vice-President Dr. Zahidur Rahman Zahid, former Chhatra Dal Vice-President Omar Faruk Kawser and Chhatra Dal Vice-President Dr. Towhidur Rahman Awal were present, among others, on the occasion.
