BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed submits nomination paper in Cox’s Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, Dec 28, 2025 (BSS) - BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has submitted his nomination paper for the Cox's Bazar-1 (Chakaria and Pekua) constituency to participate in the 13th national polls.

Salahuddin Ahmed submitted his nomination paper at Chakaria Assistant Returning Officer's office at around 3:30 pm today. 

Earlier in the day, he arrived at Cox's Bazar by a plane from Dhaka.

Chakaria Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shahin Delwar confirmed the submission of the nomination paper.

On December 22, Salahuddin Ahmed's press secretary, Safwanul Karim, collected nomination paper from Chakaria Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Assistant Returning Officer.

As of Sunday, 27 candidates from different parties, including BNP, Jamaat, NCP, and Islami Andolan, have collected nomination papers for the four parliamentary constituencies in Cox's Bazar.
