
DHAKA, Jan 8, 2026 (BSS) – The namaz-e-janaza of Azizur Rahman Musabbir, former general secretary of the Dhaka City North unit of Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal, who was killed in a terrorist attack, was held today.
The janaza was held this afternoon in front of the BNP central office at Nayapaltan in the capital.
Leaders and activists of the BNP and its associate bodies, relatives of the deceased, and people from all walks of life participated in the janaza.
At the janaza, party leaders strongly condemned the terrorist attack and demanded the immediate arrest of those involved, along with exemplary punishment for the perpetrators.
Musabbir was shot at Tejturi Bazar in the capital’s Tejgaon area around 8pm on Wednesday.
He was first taken to BRB Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Another victim, Abu Sufian, who was seriously injured in the attack, is currently undergoing treatment at DMCH.
Following the incident, the victim’s wife, Suraiya Begum, filed a case against unidentified assailants.
