BGB distributes winter clothes to 800 cold-stricken people in Dhaka

DHAKA, Jan 11, 2026 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) distributed winter clothes among 800 cold-stricken and helpless people in the capital on Sunday morning as part of its ongoing humanitarian assistance activities.

The distribution program was organized under the initiative of BGB and jointly managed by Dhaka Battalion (26 BGB), Shaheed Zakir Hossain BGB Hospital, Dhaka, Force Support Wing, Dhaka Battalion (26 BGB), and ICT Battalion. 

Winter clothes were distributed to underprivileged residents living in the areas surrounding Nawabganj Park in Dhaka.

Colonel SM Abul Ehsan, Sector Commander of Sector Headquarters, Dhaka, attended the program as the chief guest and personally distributed winter clothes among the beneficiary.

While addressing the gathering, the Sector Commander said that alongside ensuring border security, BGB has always played a leading role in responding to disasters and emergencies and serving humanity.
