CHATTOGRAM, Jan 18, 2026 (BSS)- City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain emphasized the importance of responsible behavior and awareness among city residents to maintain a clean environment.
He warned that legal action would be taken against individuals found littering wastes in the city.
Dr. Hossain made these remarks while inspecting removal of garbage from canal near the Rasulbagh residential area.
He urged residents to refrain from throwing garbage in unauthorized areas to preserve the city's cleanliness and beauty.
The mayor highlighted the negative impact of indiscriminate garbage disposal which causes water logging and health hazards.
He called on everyone to dispose of garbage in designated locations and warned of consequences against the violators.
