DHAKA, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS) - Simeen Rahman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Transcom Group and her mother Shahnaz Rahman today secured bail after surrendering to the court in a case filed over allegations of embezzling 14,160 shares of Transcom Group through the use of forged signatures and fake stamps.

They surrendered before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Rana and applied for bail today.

After a hearing, the court granted them bail.

Earlier this morning, the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Sefatullah took cognizance of the charge sheet submitted against six accused in the case.

However, as Simeen Rahman, her mother Shahnaz Rahman, and another accused were absent from the court, arrest warrants were issued against them.

The case was filed on February 22, 2024, with Gulshan Police Station by plaintiff Shahzreh Huq. Following the investigation, PBI Inspector Syed Sajedur Rahman submitted the charge sheet to the court on January 11.
