Jamaat women's wing to hold rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on Jan 31

DHAKA, Jan 27, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Women's Wing (Mohila  Bibhag) will hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on January 31,  protesting incidents of harassment and violence against women during election  campaigns across the country.

The rally will begin at 10:30am and is being organised to register a protest  against the alleged mistreatment of respectable women while election  campaigning is underway in different parts of the country, according to a  post shared on the party's official Facebook page.

The party said that the programme will be held under the initiative of  Jamaat's Women's Wing to condemn such incidents and raise awareness against  harassment and violence targeting women during the election period.
