Tarique Rahman visits shrine of Shah Sultan Balkhi (Rh.)

BOGURA, Jan 30, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman visited the shrine of Hazrat Shah Sultan Balkhi Mahisawar (Rh.) at the historical Mahasthangarh in Shibganj upazila of Bogura.

He took part in this programme this afternoon. During visit he was accompanied by BNP nominee for Bogura-2 constituency Mir Shahe Alam, along with party leaders, workers, and supporters.

Upon reaching Shibganj, thousands of people lined up on both sides of the road to welcome him with floral greetings and waves. This created a festive atmosphere throughout the area.

After completing the shrine visit, Tarique Rahman departed for Rangpur. He is scheduled to join a roadside gathering to be organized in the Mokamtala area of Shibganj upazila on the way.

Earlier in the afternoon, he distributed wheelchairs among children and adolescents with special needs, an initiative led by BNP Chairman's spouse Dr. Zobaida Rahman, at Hotel Naz Garden in Bogura town. 

Local leaders, workers, dignitaries, and a large number of general people were present at that time.
