DHAKA, Feb 4, 2026 (BSS) - Saiful Haque, General Secretary of the Revolutionary Workers Party of Bangladesh and BNP alliance-nominated candidate for Dhaka-12, held an election campaign rally today at 3:00 pm, starting from Nabisco in Tejgaon.

Before commencing the rally, he addressed a public gathering at the Nabisco intersection in capital's Tejgaon area.

Saiful Haque said he has entered the electoral contest following a long struggle for the people's voting rights, democracy and justice.

Expressing confidence in victory, he urged voters to elect the "Kodal" symbol to ensure citizen services and combat terrorism, extortion, oppression and drug abuse in the constituency.

After the gathering, a campaign procession moved from Nabisco intersection through Lichubagan, Nakhalpara Railgate, 12 No. Gali, Primary School and Arjatpara Namira Hotel.

During the door-to-door campaign, he appealed to residents for their votes, saying, "Your vote is your trust and your right. By electing the Kodal symbol in Dhaka-12, we can restore the dignity of voting."

BNP leaders Anwaruzzaman Anwar and Engineer Mirajul Haider Arju also addressed the rally.
