NARSINGDI, Feb 4, 2026 (BSS) - A day-long training workshop for polling officials was held here Narsingdi today as part of preparations for the upcoming referendum and the 13th national parliamentary election.

The workshop took place at Nasima Kadir Mollah High School in Narsingdi municipal town. A total of 180 officials assigned to polling duties in the Narsingdi-1 (Sadar) constituency participated in the training.

The programme was organized jointly by the Narsingdi Sadar Upazila Administration and the Upazila Election Office.

District Commissioner Mohammad Anwar Hossain attended the workshop as the chief guest. The event was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Asma Jahan Sarkar.

Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al Faruk, Additional District Commissioner Abu Taher Mohammad Shamsuzzaman, District Election Officer Mohammad Shaheen Akand, Assistant Commissioner Cynthia Hossain, Election Officer Al Noman, and other officials were also present at the programme.
