Jamaat Ameer to visit Naogaon tomorrow

NAOGAON, Feb 4, 2026 (BSS) - As part of nationwide election campaigns and political tours, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman will visit Naogaon tomorrow.

Dr Shafiqur Rahman is scheduled to attend an election rally at ATM field in the city at 11:00am, Naogaon district Jamaat Secretary and Naogaon-5 (Sadar) constituency Jamaat candidate Advocate A.S.M. Sayem told reporters.

ASM Sayem said, "Tomorrow, along with Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman, top leaders of the 11-party alliance will arrive in Naogaon. We have inspected the rally site and all preparations have been completed."

"People across the country are now looking for change. A mass movement in support of the 'Scales' symbol has already begun. We hope Naogaon city will witness a successful rally."

He added, "The Jamaat Ameer will outline a vision of the Bangladesh we want to see in the future, showing how we plan to build a prosperous and happy nation. As people from all 11 upazilas are expected to attend, we anticipate a turnout of around 500,000 people."

A.S.M. Sayem said the rally aims to bring together people regardless of party affiliation to work for a united and prosperous Bangladesh.

District Jamaat Nayeb-Ameer Assistant Professor Mohiuddin, Assistant Secretary Nasiruddin and Sadar Upazila Ameer Advocate Abdur Rahim, among others, were present during the ground inspection.
