DHAKA, Feb 6, 2026 (BSS) - Adviser to BNP Chairman Advocate Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal today said that the party's pledge has now become the state's pledge, noting that BNP has been the driving force behind the nationwide discussion on reforms.

"Begum Khaleda Zia introduced the 2030 Vision. Later, Tarique Rahman announced a 27-point agenda. With inputs from the student movement and wider consultations, it was refined into a 31-point agenda. The interim government has also adopted these 31 points. BNP's initiative has thus gained recognition at the national level," he said.

Alal made these remarks while speaking to journalists during an election campaign for BNP candidate Tarique Rahman in Dhaka-17 at the Kacha Bazar area of Banani.

Highlighting the party's growing popularity, Alal said, "The public is no longer looking for new promises. The 31-point reform proposal and BNP's election manifesto have already been made public. From this manifesto, our action plan for youth, women, children, and marginalized groups will be clear."

On the Dhaka-17 constituency, he pointed out that traffic congestion and lack of public spaces are major concerns. "Commodity price pressure is a serious problem here, where wealth and extreme poverty coexist," he said.

He emphasized the need to build a bridge between these two classes and initiate the implementation of an economic democratic system.
