
CHATTOGRAM, Feb 25, 2026 (BSS)- First death anniversary of BNP Vice Chairman and former Minister, Freedom Fighter Abdullah Al Noman was observed with deep respect and solemnity today.
On the day Khatme Quran, Milad, and Doa Mahfil was arranged on behalf of the family at the deceased's village home in Gahira, Raozan.
Special prayers were offered at the event seeking forgiveness for the deceased's soul. His colorful political life, contribution during the Liberation War, and outstanding role in the development of Chattogram were remembered.
Sayeed Al Noman, MP, son of Abdullah Al Noman, along with party leaders and activists, paid tribute by placing flowers at the grave of the deceased.
Sayed Al Noman recalled his father’s contribution to politics and development of Chttogram.
“We aim to carry forward his legacy by upholding his values of integrity and patriotism," he said.
Speaking on the occasion BNP leader Abu Sufian, MP said, Abdullah Al Noman was regarded as a great politician to all for his political acumen. He was very supportive for workers in times of need, making him as beloved leader for the people of Chattala.
Central BNP Labor Affairs Secretary AM Nazim Uddin, MA Sabur, City BNP Joint Convener Syed Azam Uddin as well as local dignitaries and family members, attended the event.
