DHAKA, Feb 28, 2026 (BSS) –The Administrator of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Md Safiqul Islam Khan, has directed officials to take immediate measures to remove water-logging on Ashkona main road within a day.

He gave the instruction today after inspecting the area near Pump Primary School along the road.

During the visit, S M Jahangir Hossain, Member of Parliament for Dhaka-18, was also present.

Long-standing water stagnation along the road had caused severe inconvenience for the city  residents.

Expressing dissatisfaction at the road’s poor condition, he instructed DNCC Chief Engineer, Brigadier General Syed Rakibul Hasan, to take immediate measures to make the road usable.

He also called for an integrated project to ensure its sustainable improvement.
