DHAKA, Feb 28, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain, MP, today held a meeting with Dhaka South City Corporation administrator Md Abdus Salam at his office and discussed civic problems of the capital.

After the meeting while talking to journalists, Ishraque said they had very fruitful discussions on several important issues, including the need to expand mosquito killing drives extensively before the upcoming dengue season.

He said there are many other multifaceted problems that need to be addressed.

The state minister also mentioned that road maintenance has become necessary in various places across the city, and these matters were discussed during the meeting.

Ishraque said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has instructed all concerned—especially the elected Members of Parliament from Dhaka and the administrators—to work not only to ease the sufferings of citizens but also to address upcoming threats such as dengue and monsoon-related water logging.

“Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, we will work together as a team to tackle these challenges,” he added.
