Khokon, Sohrab lead BMU Medical Technologist and Pharmacist Association as president, sec

DHAKA, Mar 4, 2026 (BSS) – A 25-member Medical Technologist and Pharmacist Association has been formed at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) with AKM Saidul Islam (Khokon) as President and Senior Medical Technologist Md Sohrab Hossain as the General Secretary.

This information was disclosed in an order signed by BMU’s Proctor Dr. Sheikh Farhad last day.

The newly constituted committee includes Md. Safiqul Rahman (Sumon) as Senior Vice President, and Md Matiur Rahman and Md Rafiqul Islam as Vice Presidents. Senior Joint General Secretary is Md Abdul Momin Sarkar, while Md Saifullah Khaled and Md Nesar Uddin serve as Joint General Secretaries.

Md Obaydur Rahman (Nirob) has been made as Organizing Secretary, with Md. Shah Alam as Joint Organizing Secretary. Md Lokman Hakim (Himel) as Treasurer, Md Arifur Rahman as Joint Treasurer, Office Secretary is Md Abdus Salam, Md Maruf Bhuiyan as Joint Office Secretary. 

Md MM Sumon has been named Publicity and Publication Secretary, Md. Zahidul Islam as Religious Affairs Secretary, and Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain as Education and Training Secretary in the committee.
Md Masud Mia has been made as Social Welfare Secretary, assisted by Md. Ibrahim Khalil Sumon as Joint Social Welfare Secretary. Tahmina Taher (Tania) will act as Female Affairs Secretary with Ms. Jannatul Ferdous as Joint Female Affairs Secretary.

Other office-bearers of the committee are Ms. Afroza Khatun, Md Abdul Hye, Md Ariful Islam, and Md Nazrul Islam.
