DHAKA, March 24, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr MA Muhit today virtually inspected activities at a hospital in Sylhet through a sudden video call from the Secretariat this afternoon.
He inspected operations at Dakshin Surma Upazila Health Complex in Sylhet via video call.
He spoke directly with patients who came to receive outpatient services. The state minister inquired about the quality of healthcare and whether they were receiving government-supplied medicines properly.
Muhit then sought information about the doctors on duty and asked to see the attendance register live on video.
The minister carefully reviewed the signatures in the register to verify which staff members were present at their workplace.
Expressing satisfaction over the presence of doctors and patients’ feedback, he highly praised the officials concerned.
He said the government is working round the clock to ensure quality healthcare services for every citizen in line with the directives of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
He urged doctors to serve with dedication and build trust among patients, playing a leading role in establishing a “Healthy Bangladesh.”
Earlier on Monday, Dr Muhit also checked healthcare services at Zakiganj Upazila Hospital in Sylhet through a video call as part of his sudden inspections to ensure uninterrupted grassroots healthcare during the Eid holidays.
