DHAKA, March 26, 2026 (BSS) - The government has promoted additional secretary Fahmida Akhter to the rank of secretary and appointed her to the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry. 

According to the Public Administration Ministry, Fahmida Akhter, an NDC (7715) officer, was serving as an additional secretary at the Ministry of Labour and Employment prior to her promotion.

Following the promotion, she has been posted as secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

The current Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Nasreen Jahan has been transferred as Member (secretary) at Planning Commission.   

The notification said the order has been issued in the public interest and will come into immediate effect.
