PM provides financial assistance to 4 temples in Dhaka-17 constituency

DHAKA, April 1, 2026 (BSS) – Four temples in Dhaka-17 constituency have received financial assistance on behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

Engineer Abdur Rahman Sunny, Assistant Private Secretary-2 to the Prime Minister and representative for the Dhaka-17 constituency, handed over the financial assistance cheques to the four temples on behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the Member of Parliament for Dhaka-17 constituency.

Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Roni confirmed the matter.

The Deputy Press Secretary informed that the temples receiving the cheques are Bashantek BRP Sarbojonin Temple, Sri Sri Raksha Kali Temple (adjacent to Mohakhali Chest Disease Hospital), ID Hospital Sarbojonin Puja Temple and Sri Sri Shivkali Puja Temple (Tempo Mor, Mohakhali).

During the cheque distribution, Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Welfare Front Chairman Bijan Kanti Sarkar, BNP Executive Committee member Ramesh Dutta, Prime Minister’s Research Officer Abdus Sattar Patwari, along with the presidents/secretaries, priests, and worshippers of the respective temples were present.
