NOAKHALI, April 3, 2026 (BSS)- The administration has seized 750 litres of 
Diesel illegally stored in a rooftop water tank of a residential house in 
Char Jabbar Union of Subarnachar upazila of the district.
 
Acting on a tip-off, Subarnachar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Akib Osman 
conducted a drive last night and found evidence of Diesel storage in the 
rooftop water tank of the house belonging to Basir Sareng alias Bosu Serang.

During the drive 750 litres of diesel were recovered and confiscated, the UNO 
said, adding, "After the recovery, we immediately auctioned the Diesel at 
depot price to a licensed trader at Char Hasan Bhuiya Hat Bazar."

At that time, the involved Bosu Serang was fined Taka 10,000 under the 
Petroleum Act for illegally storing flammable substances.
