Signal no 1 issued for river ports

DHAKA, April 18, 2026 (BSS) - Met office has issued Cautionary Signal No. 1 for the country's inland river ports, effective from 3.30pm to 1.00am tonight.

A special weather bulletin of the Met office said, Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary west/north-westerly gusty/squally with wind of 45-60 kph speed is likely to occur over Pabna, Tangail, Mymensingh and Cumilla.

River ports in these areas have been asked to hoist Cautionary Signal No-1, it added.
